Third Party Adjudication of all NCPDP Versions
The pc I Pharmacy System is certified for all NCPDP adjudication formats and has the flexibility to handle the changes that are constantly being placed on the retail pharmacy. It supports both Argus and Atlantic Associates Controlled Substance Prescription Monitoring programs and provides applications for printing the NCPA Pharmacist Care Claim form.

DUR
pc I meets all DUR requirements set forth by OBRA `90 by automatically prompting the pharmacist if a possible clinical conflict is found. A comprehensive patient disease history file utilizing standard ICD-9 codes can be created during the prescription filling process or can be entered manually. An optional patient education sheet can also be generated when the prescription is filled.

Drug Order Entry
The pc I Drug Order Entry application provides a simple way to order a drug from a wholesaler using the pc I software. It provides a report of what will be ordered from the wholesaler, a report of what will be received and also updates the changes in inventory.

Refill Reminder Report
The Refill Reminder Report allows the progressive pharmacy to know 10 days in advance which prescriptions need to be refilled. This report is executed through the Transaction Audit Report and can e utilized each day.

Reconciliation
pc I Third Party Reconciliation provides a comprehensive program to enable entry and tracking of all types of pharmacy third party billing. It provides a detailed report for each operation and includes a special Status Report option for printing reports based on specific criteria to pinpoint billing errors.

Custom Report Generator
Custom Reports can be generated quickly and easily with little training. Whether a custom drug tracking report, a memo to a certain group of doctors, or birthday greetings for all active customers for a given month, Memo Writer makes it to set up and run these reports.


The following features are unique to the pc V Pharmacy System:

Multiple Workstations
As previously mentioned, pc V Pharmacy System utilizes its SCO UNIX operating environment to allow for multiple work stations. Each workstation consists of a terminal and may also include a printer and modem to allow the workstation to print and transmit third party claims independently of the main console.

POS System Interfaces
The pc V Pharmacy System has the ability to interface with certain Point of Sale systems that are commonly used by today's busy pharmacy. A standard interface allows for the transfer of transaction data from the pharmacy system to the POS system.

RxPAD
RxPAD is an electronic interface that ties the physician's office to the pharmacy via modem. Refill requests and new prescriptions can be transferred electronically between the pharmacy and doctor without ever picking up the phone.

DME Processing
The pc V DME Processing application is a complete billing package for Medicare Part B DMERC items and services. DME Processing imports vital patient and doctor information from the pc V Pharmacy System, reducing data entry time.
pc I professional systems is a certified vendor for all 4 regions. We offer batch submission in the latest HCFA National standard Format. With DME Processing, you can submit with a claim with additional primary or secondary insurance information. This lets your DMERC regional carrier crossover claims for you, so that you do not need to file separate claims to Medigap insurers. DME Processing also offers submission of Certificates of Medical Necessity (CMN), extra text narrative records, and facility information. And DME Processing provides the ability to receive electronic claim remittance reports.

Care Rx Disease Management
Care RX is a patient-oriented disease managment and compliance program that provides pharmacists with the resources, diseas data files and updates, software, and electronic billing services they need to participate in new programs sponsored by managed care organization and state medicaids. Working with a store's existing pharmacy system, Care RX gives pharmacists a convenient, through way to help patients monitor and take an active role in their diseases. The result is improved care through increased persistency, compliance, and DM for their patients.

Interactive Voice Response
The pc V Pharmacy System can interface with the Voice-Tech Dial-Rx IVR system. IVR systems can reduce distraction and interruptions, improve communications between pharmacy, patient, and doctor, and therefore maximize pharmacy productivity. Some of the features available with Dial-Rx systems are:
Refill Option, Doctor Voice Messaging, Doctor Fax Forward, and RX-Outdial.
